Born into a Gypsy family in Los Palacios, Seville, Amador Rojas began to train as a dancer when he was only seven years old, under the guiding hand of Maestro Farruco. By the time he was twelve he was already working as a solo dancer and creating his own choreographies. When he turned sixteen, he joined Salvador Távora’s "La Cuadra” company, taking part in "Carmen" and touring the world for five years. He has worked with many leading flamenco artists, such as the Montoya Family, Manuela Carrasco and Juana Amaya. At the age of twenty-one, he choreographed and performed in Yuryko Yoda’s "Zelda" and "The Statue of Maya". He then joined the company of Eva Hierbabuena and Antonio Canales, performing in numerous outstanding shows.
In 2011, Amador Rojas was appointed Artistic Director of the production company SOLANA Entertainment, with which he has toured the world. His own projects include "Kahlo Caló", based on the life of Frida Kahlo, and "Mandala", a show that celebrates cultural diversity. He has received awards such as the "Best New Artist" at the 2008 Seville Flamenco Biennial and the "Venencia Flamenca” award in 2009. His talent has allowed him to work with theatre director Miguel Narros in "Fedra". In 2010, he presented "Mandala" in Los Angeles, where he won the Golden Lyre Musicianship Award. In addition to his international tours, he has participated in shows such as "Eternal Camarón" and has co-directed and performed in "Las Minas Puerto Flamenco". Amador continues to give master classes and stage shows all over the world, consolidating his prestige in the world of flamenco through his work with SOLANA Entertainment.
