Cine caliente #5

Summer in Madrid means movies in the Parque de la Bombilla and this year’s Veranos de la Villa festival features a series that turns different films that might well be classified as guilty pleasures into an artistic experience that goes well beyond what each of its elements - cinema, artistic analysis, humour, music, laughter... - could offer us individually.

Joining us this evening will be filmmaker, actress, cultural manager and queer activist Alex de la Croix, who has decided to comment on Robert Zemeckis’ hilarious Death Becomes Her (La muerte os sienta tan bien) (1992), a zany comedy with dashes of fantasy and horror films in which Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn show that they are quite prepared to do whatever it takes to avoid losing two things: their youth and the man of their lives, whom they happen to share, none other than Bruce Willis. 

The evening’s musical entertainment will be provided by Martín Moniche, cultural manager and agitator, current cultural programmer at La Térmica, the Contemporary Culture Centre of the Provincial Council of Málaga, as well as DJ, artist and, from time to time, singer.
