For the fourth year in a row, the Veranos de la Villa Festival invites lovers of celluloid (and everyone else for that matter) to a new date with Hot Movies (Cine caliente) or the pleasure of reinventing summer nights and open-air cinema in one fell swoop. In this performance art - film project, curated by La Juan Gallery, we invite the audience to brace themselves for a film that will be successively and indeed constantly interrupted by comments, analysis, music and interactions from some of the liveliest creative minds on the current scene. In another context, you might well find it infuriating!
Lalachus and Bertus, the well-known tandem of content creators, will be kicking off this new season with their analysis of Twilight (Crepúsculo) (Catherine Hardwicke, 2008), the first film in the most famous vampire saga of all time, which tells the story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, her mysterious classmate who turns out to be a 108-year-old vampire.
The musical accompaniment will be provided by Andrés Borque, who describes himself as "a multi-talented good-for-nothing". He also happens to be a DJ and producer and the heart and soul behind CUENCA, Madrid’s most entertaining club session.
