ACT THREE - La palabra de la lucha, la dicha de la militancia
A rally in defence of the virtue and beauty of words as catalysts
José María Micó, Pepa Pedroche, Ernesto Arias, Joaquín Notario, Rita Barber, Sara Águeda and Rita Barber
An activist and dynamic session on the power of the spoken word for social transformation and the transmission of revolutionary and committed discourse.
From political speeches to songs of resistance, from the picaresque and critical poems of the Spanish Golden Age to the militant poems of the 20th century, before, during and after the Spanish Civil War, up to our own time and texts of commitment, whether to feminism, the fight against climate change, or civil rights. The audience will be caught up in a revolutionary atmosphere, in a poetic rally or in a spirited and brilliant demonstration, in which they will feel constantly challenged. Words become an energising and activist element that sparks change and transformation.
The rhetoric breaks free from the stage and spreads like wildfire to denounce, criticise and propose solutions to the great conflicts and problems of the world.
The Spoken and Happy Word (Palabra Dicha y Dichosa) series is taking place in collaboration with the Juan March Foundation.
