Viaje de Vida y Vuelta

From the bars on Calle Ferrol to filling Madrid’s Wizink Centre. This more or less sums up the life story of this Galician singer songwriter who started out busking in the city’s underground stations a decade ago and now sells out theatres and legendary venues such as the former Palacio de los Deportes or the Palacio de Vistalegre, depending on whether he’s playing an intimate concert or a gig with his full rock band.

Hailed as one of the leading exponents of the new wave of Spanish-language songwriting, Andrés Suárez has managed to maintain his openness and authenticity with compositions that are equally suited to clubs and theatres as they are to large arenas. Respected and admired by leading musicians such as Pablo Milanés, Víctor Manuel, Ana Belén, Rozalén and Joan Manuel Serrat, among others, after releasing nine studio albums, in February last year he released A Return Journey (Viaje de vida y vuelta), his latest work to date with which he continues to score big hits thanks to his skilfully penned and intensely emotional songs.

The artist has been on a tour that goes by the same name as his latest album, which has taken him to different parts of the peninsula. Today, at the Veranos de la Villa Festival he’ll be performing songs from all his albums, providing fans with a unique opportunity to enjoy his music.
