Sonidos Líquidos

Madrid’s (covered) swimming pools are also for the month of August, as the Liquid Sounds (Sonidos líquidos) project at the Casa de Campo Municipal Sports Centre will make abundantly clear. Created in London in 2008 by Joel Cahen, the project uses underwater sound equipment to turn pools and other aquatic spaces into unique listening venues, often in collaboration with musicians, video artists, lighting designers and underwater spectacle artists to create a truly exceptional musical experience.

On this occasion, Cahen, who specialises in experimental sounds under his alias PlutonOvarian, and Spanish musician and producer Suso Saiz, a key figure in ambient music in our country, invite the good people of Madrid to literally immerse themselves in the music of the pool. Music above water is different from music under water. Floating and moving around in a zero-gravity space, floating in water, the listener can move freely in and through the water, creating their own unique composition by moving between the two sound spaces. A unique setting in which to listen and relax.

The 4, 5 and 6pm sessions will be presented by PlutonOvarian.

The 7pm session will be presented by Suso Saiz.
