Japanese mangas, or comics, embrace countless genres and cater for all ages and audiences. For example, the plots of sports manga (spokon) are about sport in one form or another. In most cases, their associated sub-plots promote values such as teamwork, friendship, hard work or making your dreams come true (this is particularly true of shonen, which are aimed at teenagers).
In this exhibition, whose name plays on the title of this type of comic, visitors will be able to discover some of the most popular sports manga characters and delve even deeper into Japanese sports culture through stories of self-improvement and friendship. The exhibition will include some of the sports we find in mangas translated into Spanish.
