Admired by fans and creators in every corner of the globe, Japanese visual culture is one of the most influential in the world. This talk will introduce the audience to its most distinctive characteristics and to the productive alliances formed by three Japanese industries: manga, anime and video games.
Antonio Loriguillo López is a Full Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at the Universitat Jaume I. He lectures on the Video Game Design and Development degree course. His research focuses on the study of narrative in fiction films and television series, with particular reference to Japanese animation.
Author of the monographics Complex Anime. Narrative Ambiguity in Japanese Narrative (Anime complejo.
