Sylphes
Aerial Strada
Verum Symphony Orchestra
Another new edition of the Veranos de la Villa festival is about to get underway and there really couldn’t be a better time of year than this to raise our eyes to the sky of Madrid and to admire and reconnect with all its beauty in the company of the Aerial Strada troupe from Alicante who are here to present Sylphes, the evolution of the artistic style they have been forging over the past 25 years. This visual spectacle – which you’ll be able to enjoy at the Puente del Rey – combines aerial ballet at a height of thirty-five metres, acrobatics, images and live music courtesy of the Verum Symphony Orchestra, with the common theme of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, adapted for the occasion by German-British composer Max Richter.
Against the backdrop of Madrid’s marvellous sky, the fascinating figures will undergo all manner of hypnotic transformations, reminding the audience of the group choreographies of synchronised swimming and classical ballet. A creative work steeped in allegory and symbolism, evoking ancestral myths and legends. Capable of generating moments of plasticity and surprising beauty, the company's intention is to make us connect with the magic of the subliminal, to celebrate the power of the senses and to stir our emotions. A unique experience that will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
