Stalker Teatro

Steli

Working at the intersection of contemporary and performance art, Italy's Stalker Teatro takes over five public spaces in Madrid to invite citizens to take part in the creation of a huge urban art intervention. Using wooden sticks and the colours of the rainbow, Steli is a dazzling, interactive and colourful project suitable for all audiences who, once the hard work of construction is over, will be able to explore their creation by walking under, around and through it, while a DJ provides a soundscape for the space they have created.

The result of an educational and performative project called Reaction, created in collaboration with the Department of Education of Castello di Rivoli - Museum of Contemporary Art, Steli is an urban intervention that Stalker Teatro has taken to festivals all over the world. Founded at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin in 1975 and directed by Gabriele Boccacini, the works and happenings produced by this artistic company are always characterised by a firm commitment to artistic experimentation in socially sensitive or challenging situations.

With the collaboration of the Istituto Italiano de Cultura de Madrid and under the auspices of the Italian Embassy in Madrid
