Radio-grafía (s). Viaje al interior de un hospital (Radio-graphies. Journey to the Inside of a Hospital)
Yo Cuento and the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital
Did you know there’s a friendly ghost at the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital who cures little children? Probably not, but if you’d like to learn all about this story and other equally exciting and interesting tales that lie hidden behind the walls of this well-known children’s polyclinic, then you’re just going to have to come to the Veranos de la Villa festival to enjoy the Radio-grafías project by Yo Cuento. Patients, doctors and professional actors and actresses will guide the participants along a route inside the hospital where anything and everything can happen!
Yo Cuento is a theatrical laboratory created and launched in 2021 by paediatric neurologists at the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital and professional artists, who use the performing arts to create a space in which children undergoing neurological treatment can express themselves and show society that they too have a lot of things to say!
Every Tuesday they organise a workshop which brings children together to make theatre, and this edition of the festival is proud to unveil the result of all their hard work: Radio-graphies. Journey to the Inside of a Hospital¸ directed by stage director and playwright Lucía Miranda. Radio-graphies will present different stories that take place inside the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital, told by the patients themselves, with the help of professional playwrights and actors.
A production by the Yo Cuento programme and the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital.
With the collaboration of 33% Cultura sin Límites, the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital Foundation for Biomedical Research (FIBHNJS), Art for Change - "La Caixa" Foundation, Netflix, Jazz Pharmaceuticals and Cecabank.
