Civic Engagement / Public Art

Question Project is a civic engagement mechanism and public art project designed by the collective Mil M2. Using a very simple dynamic, the collective enables people to express their concerns regarding social life in their environments in the form of questions. These questions are made publicly visible with the aim of sparking, via their circulation, debate in the public space and a collective questioning of social issues. This project has been reproduced over 80 times, in 26 different cities, collecting more than 25,000 questions all over the world.

Mil Metros Cuadrados is an interdisciplinary collective based in Santiago, Chile, which focuses on collective creation of knowledge through projects involving temporary occupation of spaces and interaction with various communities. In Madrid it will work in collaboration with artist Javier Cruz.

From 11 to 22 July, the Question Project will travel to various places in the capital, collecting and displaying the questions that we, the people who inhabit the city, are asking.
